Starting from the assumption that the ideal of libertas pertpetua animating the history of the most ancient Republic implies for San Marino the responsibility to recreate its own future at each historical turn, the essay goes through the implications with a consequential logics: from the reinterpretation of its millenary identity in a globalized world, to the definition of a new vision for the Country; from the elaboration of a strategic plan, to the development of the necessary execution capabilities; up to the activation of the fundamental levers to start the change. It is a strategy roadmap what the Author proposes in a search for a way out of the crisis, towards a new model of competitive and sustainable economic development. Applying the essential tools of economic strategy, it is proposed a comprehensive framework for the medium-long term direction, which becomes essential point of reference even when facing the emergency of crisis in the present time.
