The contribution deals with issues related to the development and affirmation of administrative law and science, highlighting differences and pointing out similarities. Evolutionary analysis of the two disciplines is carried out through a brief historical review that takes into account the socio-institutional influences both internal and communitarian. The author deals with the different contributions in literature and then examines the role of the training institutions as well as that of the great schools which today still represent a solid point of reference in the understanding of the dynamics related to administration. The conclusion of the essay describes the landing of an organizational structure capable of meeting social needs and the establishment of new organisms, not always public, pursuing aims of general order, based on a constantly changing reality.
