Taking as a starting point Daniele Menozzi’s recent book on the Church and human-rights, this articles addresses several themes somehow overlooked by its author.-In parrticular, Fioravanti triess to give a fuller and more satisfactory account of the-evolution of natural right theories in the 19th and 20th centuries and of its impact on-catholic doctrine and culture in the same period.-
