The paper is the clinical summary of a psychotherapeutic treatment of a Filipino boy. His travels between Italy and Philippines and a conflictual relationship between his parents make his integration and psychic growth very difficult. Always divided in two worlds (maternal and paternal, Italian and Philippine, childhood and adolescence) JD gets stuck in the process of learning and thinking. The study is focused on showing the first steps towards the re-appropriation of the ability to think and the beginning of the integration process of his splitted mental states.
