This paper analyzes the effects of the market economy in the production of social housing in Mexico. By analyzing the private housing market social interest it concludes that the excessive growth of private real estate developments of social interest has been one of the ways of channeling surplus capital in global financial markets rather than the result of a public policy to address the housing needs.
Questo scritto analizza gli effetti dell’economia di mercato nella produzione di alloggi sociali in Messico. Analizzando il mercato immobiliare privato di edilizia popolare si conclude che la crescita smisurata di progetti immobiliari privati di interesse sociale è stato uno dei modi per incanalare capitali in eccesso nei mercati finanziari globali, piuttosto che il risultato di una politica pubblica per affrontare le esigenze abitative.
