This paper focuses on the design of the services provided in the so-called 1962 Rome June Plan, which comes before the interministerial decree no. 1444 of 1968. The tables in the plan, drawn up by the technical offices of the Municipality of Rome with a special Advisory Commission, set the percentage of development land dedicated to services. The data is formulated by a project inspired by the principles of the modernist city and by the idea that the public city can counter urban development without rules. The paper reads the parametric apparatuses of the plan to report the specifics of that process. At the same time, this experience is considered as a moment of confluence of experiences and references to the formulation of the interministerial decree. The June Plan for the particular political and administrative situation is a very special document. About the theme of services, the June plan is also significant for things that it does not say.
Keywords: Rome City Plan; public facilities; planning standards
