The social inclusion through work is the goal of the reform intervention that changed the para-digm of measures to support disabled people in 1999 in Italy. Twenty years after the approval of this important intervention an assessment of the impact of the measures is necessary, in ref-erence to the official data, and an analysis aimed at revising this intervention system to support a greater effectiveness of the work inclusion of people in conditions of disability. According to the author’s evaluation the theme of the necessary integration between the social inclusion sys-tems and the workfare and activation tools at work is the reference objective of the policies to promote in Italy for the inclusion of disabled population.
