The author, a friend of Giusy Cuomo for almost thirty years, draws a vivid, in-timate and affectionate portrait of her. He recalls his long professional career, in-tertwined with that of the major group analysts of the second half of the twentieth century, and emphasizing the vital role she played in the development and dissem-ination of group analysis in Italy and around the world.
