This contribution investigates the multiple relationships and factors of influence between the so-called urban seniors and the characteristics of the city. With an ecological approach, urban planning and design are intended as fundamental preventive disciplines, capable of improving the quality of population aging, contributing to the maintenance of health, sociality and autonomy. The outcomes of the Research-intervention Anziani&Città are presented in support of the theoretical discussion.
