The article explores the biopolitical and bioeconomical scenery reproposing the old Hippocratic question in medicine: "what it means to do the patient’s good?". In the paradigm of patient autonomy, the skills of counseling are an excellent tool to ensure the therapeutic alliance, foundation of "good" in medicine.
