The success of the transformation of Piazza Testaccio, in the historic district of Rome, testifies how the complex active participation of citizens, regardless of the support of the current regulations, is fundamental t for the regeneration of the places where you live. The analyzed experience teaches that the "useful contribution" is not given by a specific product but by a continuous exchange between Administration and citizens, a sort of mutual control during the crucial phases of the construction of the work.
