The COVID-19 pandemic is particularly affecting adolescent mental health. In this work, the authors note that the manifestations of emotional distress emerged especially since autumn 2020, when the restrictions were eased and a gra¬dual return to the encounter with the Other was attempted. It is precisely the fear of encountering Otherness that would seem to have brought to light the profound fra gility of the youngest’s identity. A generation that is in constant search for a reassu-ring Similar, which struggles to physiologically complete the path of subjectivation, and in which even angst seems unable to take shape, in an incessant and elusive "wandering of the symptom".
