Report of the AIA Workshop “The evolution of vibration control: smart sensor networks & smart industry” On March 28th in Turin, was held the workshop “The evolution of vibration control: smart sensor networks & Industry 4.0” at the National Institute of Metrological Research (INRiM). The workshop was organized by the Italian Acoustics Association (AIA) in collaboration with INRiM, Politecnico di Torino, ACCREDIA and Arpa Piemonte. This article summarizes its technical-scientifi c contents and main purpose. Report of the 49th AIA National Conference The 49th National Conference of the Acoustical Society of Italy (AIA) was held from 7 to 9 June at the Polo Scientifico Tecnologico of the University of Ferrara. The conference was organized by AIA in collaboration with the Department of Engineering of the University of Ferrara and with the CNR-STEMS headquarters in Ferrara. This article presents a report of the scientific and social activities that took place during the three days of the Conference. Report of the 10th Conference of the European Acoustical Association, Forum Acusticum 2023 Forum Acusticum, the 10th conference of the EAA –European Acoustics Association, the association that brings together 33 national acoustic societies, took place in Turin from 11 to 15 September 2023, from all over Europe. The Congress has been organized at a national level by AIA, the Italian Association of Acoustics, which for over 50 years, was founded in 1972, it has represented the most authoritative technical-scientific reference point on the subject in Italy. With 1250 participants, of which 488 were under 35 years old, the Forum Acusticum 2023 was hosted at the Polytechnic of Turin, in a renovated area of the campus with new and equipped classrooms. The Congress represented a worldclass event in acoustics and vibration and a great opportunity for participants to increase their knowledge and share experiences and expertise. Beautiful Sounds 2023. Positive sounds for happy places On October 18th in Florence, the event “Beautiful Sounds 2023. Positive sounds for happy places” was held in the prestigious venue of Palazzo Vecchio. The event was organized by: Italian Association of Acoustics (AIA), Municipality of Florence and Order of Engineers, in collaboration with Vie en.ro.se. Engineering and with the Pescas Association. This article summarizes its technical-scientific contents and purpose. Report of the Symposium on the Acoustics of Poro-Elastic Materials. SAPEM2023 From 7 to 10 November 2023, the 7th International Symposium on the Acoustics of Poro-Elastic Materials. SAPEM2023 – was held at the GRAND HOTEL EUROPA PALACE SORRENTO. The conference was organized by Matelys, sponsored by the AIA and with the collaboration of the Department of Industrial Engineering of the University of Naples, Federico II and the International Institute of Acoustic Technology of the China Acoustic Valley. This article offers an account of the scientific and social activities that took place during the four-day conference.
