FrancoAngeli is member of Publishers International Linking Association, Inc (PILA), a not-for-profit association which run the CrossRef service enabling links to and from online scholarly content.
Within the extensive publications and scientific literature of the Gioenian Accademy of Natural Sciences (Catania, 1824) references and works have been recorded and surveyed (Atti, Giornale del Gabinetto, Bollettino, Compendi, documents of the historical Archives), concerning the enlistment of ecclesiastical members in the categories of honorary, active, correspondent fellows. Among them prevail the priest and abbots (65), besides 4 cardinals and 10 bishops. Praiseworthy and honorable quotations were found, as well as striking omissions and uncertains when naming. The curators of the appointments are little interested in the description of the historical, cultural, scientific, anthropological, political and social aspects of the churchmen recruitment.
