Studies concerning the migration phenomenon have long given space to the theme of migrants' religions. Devotional practices and discourses are in fact fundamental to facilitate a process of homing into the new social and cultural context. By creating places of worship and staging celebrations and liturgical events, the foreign community gives itself a center and defines its own presence, its own visibility. But religion, in addition to contributing to the construction of localities, also makes mobility thinkable and practicable. This contribution, starting from the case of Peruvian Catholic migrants, aims to reflect on those symbolic resources, present within the devotional device, which allow the migrant as a subaltern subject to think about the journey and the crossing of borders. The devotional horizon does not limit itself to rooting the migrant but also accompanies him in his geographical and social movements, becoming part of his autobiographical story.
