Among the methods of pedagogical research, the comparative one is very effective, in the face of new educational problems, whose now global dimension demands the comparison of more and more realities. In the present context, which is increasingly multi-etnich, comparative education displays great theoretical and practical benefit. In particular, research on the education systems of European and extra European countries helps to think better inclusion in our schools. As well-founded and now refined as it is, the comparative method must however intensify the dialogue with intercultural pedagogy, from which it would have significant advantages. After having recalled the peculiarities of the comparative method, the author highlights its effectiveness in responding to today’s educational problems, for a more inclusive and intercultural school.
