This study analyzes the soundscape of the university district in Pescara, an urban area characterized by high-density activities and services. The research combines quantitative analysis of the acoustic environment with qualitative assessments of sound perception, focusing on four strategic areas: the Viale Pindaro university campus, the Via Falcone e Borsellino corridor, Piazza Ettore Troilo, and the former Di Cocco Barracks Park. Through acoustic measurements and user perception surveys, the study highlighted the complexity of the urban soundscape and its influence on quality of life. Special attention was given to the redevelopment project of the green corridor connecting the courthouse to the university, analysing its impact on acoustic comfort. The results suggest that integrating soundscape planning into urban design can significantly improve the experience of public spaces, providing practical guidelines for future sustainable urban development strategies.
