This article analyzes the innovations introduced by Legislative Decree 62/2024 and aims to provide readers with an analysis of the key elements characterizing the reformulation of the meaning of "Life Project" within the overall framework of the Decree. The authors believe that the "Life Project," as described in Legislative Decree 62/2024, is a legal-pedagogical instrument and should be interpreted as such. Reading and applying the provisions of the articles that comprise the Decree outside of an educational perspective risks transforming the "Life Project" into a technical instrument, stripping the concept of its deepest meaning. The University of Verona has launched a research project aimed at supporting project development for people with disabilities, making the online platform www.icfapplicazioni.it available to professionals free of charge. This platform allows for a biopsychosocial analysis – based on the ICF – of the needs of people with disabilities, as well as for obtaining key indicators useful for supporting their quality of life. Its use can significantly contribute to the development of life plans that effectively address the emancipation needs of people with disabilities.
