This paper aims to explore the role of system figures in schools, understood as organizations, in promoting an alliance between schools and families, which is a prerequisite for building a truly inclusive life project. After an overview of the theoretical and regulatory evolution that led to the establishment of a bio-psycho-social approach in the conceptualization of disability and the centrality of the life project, the results of an exploratory survey conducted with 52 Italian teachers with system roles are presented. The results, obtained through Reflective Thematic Analysis, show that these figures recognize their role as mediators in the school-family relationship, acting through dialogue, availability, and mutual trust. Although organizational and cultural barriers to family participation emerge, the study confirms the need for a joint and institutional commitment aimed at strengthening collaborative processes and educational co-design strategies. System figures therefore appear to be promoters of an inclusive culture, capable of supporting student autonomy and well-being.
