This paper explores the ecologicaladaptive regeneration of productive areas. The first part examines the legacy of forms, services, infrastructures, and governance of production spaces since the postWorld War II period. The second part summarizes the findings of an applied research project that promoted adaptive codesign tools for productive areas within the Metropolitan City of Milan. The conclusions highlight the relevance of collaborative urbanscale communities.
