Migration processes and demographic change are often addressed separately by public policies. Population aging not only has consequences for social security and welfare, but is associated with a decline in the working-age population. Immigration has mitigated this process, but the stabilization of immigrants (family reunification, second generations, etc.) will be reflected in the relative aging of foreigners themselves, with relevant policy consequences: health and safety, assistance, social security, active employment policies. All of this takes place in a socio-occupational context of integration of migrants not designed for a population that expresses needs that are also differentiated by age.
Keywords: Immigration, aging, demographic change, employment, social needs
