This work is proposed as a short reflection on the hypnotic processes and somatic dimensions involving the psychotherapist. In fact, the therapist embodies the ongoing hypnotic modifications. Because of the minimal cues of his own body, he informs himself and the patient, as well, about changes, discontinuities, and essential steps of psychotherapy from the induction to the reorientation and awakening. Assuming an epistemological perspective, it’s possible to say that the attention to the somatic therapist’s involvement in clinical processes, favors a shift from an ethic of truth to an ethic of resources, perspectives and differences.
Keywords: Body, hypnosis, ideomotor responses
