Apulian policy makers have established an agency to promote and digitalize tour-ism. Thanks to local enterprise, numerous hotels and various accommodation fa-cilities are now available while small tour operators provide tourism experiences. Some local businesses specialize in the luxury sector, some in slow tourism, others in wellness tourism, and many dedicate their time and energy to the organization of food and wine or cultural events. Plans are also in place to promote and at-tract tourists to the "Via Francigena", a religious and cultural pilgrimage along a pathway rich in natural beauty. This chapter looks at the collaboration between businesses and local entities that operate in this field and that has led to the drawing up of a network contract called A.R.T.S (Art Tourism Salento Network), co-financed by the Ministry for Tourism (Mibact/Mipaaft ID9099).
