In the Mental Health Centre where the author work, have been put into operation from over three years, interventions of group psychotherapy of fixed time (15 session) directed to patients suffering from uneasiness that can be ascribed to the anxiety disorders category. In the article the author, besides illustrating his treatment program and the results of the interventions, dwells on those elements which seem to have started the change process: clarity about "what" happens and "how" the anxiety trouble works, self-command experiences using the learned techniques and strategies which bring about a change in self-convictions as to the problem. The ericksonian hypnotic psychotherapy furnishes extraordinary resources in the anxiety troubles treatment, particularly those aspects which escape cognitive control and working-through.
