We seldom discuss about the relationship between money/work and forgetting the psychological meanings that takes for everyone: workers or not. Our review starts from a reflection on the people without jobs: they are an impressive number and for a lot of them has no sense to speak about meaning of money. For the workers, beyond the value of wages, the money takes many psychological meanings: help to establish the identity, the psychological contract with the organization, the measure of success, the answer to the feeling of justice, ... Moreover, in a time when the work market emphasizes its dual trends, dividing workers between aristocrats and servants, decision makers need to start studying the work, even in its conflicting components, to make it a plausible object of psychological investment.
