A story among the intermediate worlds. This article begins by a personal story marked by crisis of politics, backache recovery, and studies on the concept of fetishism as history of substitutions, and it comes to the conclusion that play, rite and theatre can disclose the meaning of the intermediate worlds. They are all conscious acts of make-believe, namely of mimetic splitting, where the imitation of a given world drives to construction of a new world, which imitates the first differing from it, and so becoming autonomous. This condition of being autonomous in relations characterizes and defines the intermediate worlds. In such make-believe and conscious suspension of disbelief, the autonomy in relationships can be recalled out by the corner of one’s eye.
Keywords: Autobiography, embodiment, fetishism, intermediate worlds, relation, autonomy, "corner of one’s eye", learning
