The study titled "Economic and financial sustainability of healthcare services, equity, and quality of care: objectives pursued through a strategic alliance between healthcare, research, and the general public" launched the project "Frailty- Vulnerability in Health", based on the hypothesis that social variables may also affect access to health care. A pilot study was conducted on a sample of patients of a general practice and, from its results, a more extensive study was designed to identify the epidemiology of frailty and vulnerability and to evaluate health service access indicators. This article focuses on the pilot study’s results and on the design of the main study.
Keywords: Frailty, Vulnerability, General Practice, Equity In Health, Social Variables, Indicators.
