Annona Series Archival science Provisioning History of nutrition Milan, 15th-19th century The essay, co-authored by Lavinia Parziale and Elena Puccinelli, describes the process of arrangement and inventory-making of the archival collections «Annona parte antica» (15th century -1800) and «Annona parte moderna» (1801-1853), both part of a larger collection kept in Archivio di Stato di Milano and called «Atti di Governo», arranged in the 18th-19th century according to subject-based classification. After this first part, dealing with archival and methodology topics, follows a preliminary analysis meant to emphasize a few crucial elements, which are necessary to develop further studies on alimentation history and food supply in the Milanese and Lombard area.
