Following the same line drawn in a previous paper (Mariottini, Sica, in press) concerning the analysis of the language used in Spanish public communication and deriving from the "miembra-case", the authors develop a study of the Ministerio de Igualdad linguistic and discursive policies and practices moving in the theoretical framework of gender studies and Feminist Critical Discourse Analysis. The aim of the paper is to present qualitative observations supported by quantitative data to reflect once again (but from different perspectives) on the linguistic institutional commitment that Spain has made in order to ensure equal opportunities between women and men.

Keywords: Language policies and practices, language and gender, Spanish institutional communication.
