This paper presents a case study on the effectiveness of education and orientation training courses by analyzing Search and matching models as the main reference for such an unemployment study and the dynamics encouraging employment. According to this approach the use of instruments and active labor policy measures such as training, which promote matching between labor demand and supply by breaking down the cost of job search, would result in employment growth. The study captures some typical characteristics in the use of training courses, enhances their training capabilities but questions the employment potential.
Keywords: Job search theory, employment policies, job training, youth unemployment.
