The article describes a clinical sequence occurred during the analysis of a nine years old child, who suffered from separation anxiety, withdrawal, inhibition and marked imagination. It stresses the particular quality of the analytical relationship, through some images, which appeared during the clinical exchange and contemplated also by the Sand Play Therapy, which proved to be equipped with traits of the unconscious psyche of both patient and analyst. The recognition by the analyst of such "transitional subjects" in the consulting room has inaugurated a phase of psychological creativity, intended as the capacity to give new meanings to the remote and current emotional experiences.
Keywords: Jungian Analysis of Child; Images, Transitional Subjects; Sand Play Therapy; Consulting Room; Unconscious Psyche.
