From this interview to Duccio Demetrio a conception of life span emerges in which memories and temporality are seen as "internal narrative acts" that materialize in words and writing. «The progressive settling down inside ourselves of life experiences... builds what we are» (Demetrio, 1996, p. 112) triggering a recursive property between the subject creating his own story and the story creating the subject. Demetrio’s contribution is a celebration of autobiography seen as "medicine" and a therapeutic endeavor. In a constructivist perspective one can see the resources of a personal narratology that is fiction to the extent that the reality of the story when it is produced changes its face and takes up the look of the present and of one’s personal myth. From this derives a sort of parallel path between classical myths and individual myths in the author’s thinking.
