NDEs are non-pathological experiences including elements of transcendent tonality, occurring in critical conditions with threat for survival. Despite NDEs and hypnosis look to be totally different phenomena, they show some common elements, such as feelings of full bliss and peace, changes or loss of meaning of time perception, plastic imagination, retrieval of hardly accessible memories, feelings with the flavor of mystic experiences, as well out of-body experiences. Furthermore, their transformational power is in line with the therapeutical power of hypnosis.
