The article explores the complex changes that the family has been experiencing over the past 40 years. The end of patriarchal society in the Western world has isolated the Family from the community codes that defined it. It follows a feeling of profound loss compared to the relational and pedagogical tasks. They change the identity bonds that are manifested, nowadays, above all through the emotional and affective strength of ties of kinship. Every injury in the bonds is perceived as very traumatic. To tear and to rebuild new bonds seems to be the most obvious solution. The task of the clinicians should be the knowledge and management of the numerous configurations present in the Family together with the awareness that the territories that define the Family are extremely complex. Some exemplary situations are presented.
Keywords: Patriarchal culture, Problem of the father, Anomaly of the family, Complexity of emotional and emotional bonds in the family, Group-analytic psy-chotherapy in the family field, Multipersonal settings.
