Decades after its execution, the excavation of Via Tenente Gaspare Romano (Mazara del Vallo -TP) turns out to be a very precious treasure chest of archaeological data. In particular, the ceramic material recovered from wells and latrines on the site allows a look that embraces the Islamic and Norman era, and the Swabian, Angevin and Aragonese as well. The paper aims to offer an overview of the fine tableware recovered from the excavation, which include products locally made in Mazara and objects imported from other places on the island and from the Mediterranean basin.

Keywords: Mazara del Vallo, Sicily, Mediterranean, fine tableware, Islamic and Norman pottery, Swabian, Angevin and Aragonese pottery
