This study aims to reconstruct the history of the purchase of the Giovan Battista Giuliana majolica collection, now on display at the Pepoli museum in Trapani. It includes 32 16th and 18th century pharmacy jars, produced in Trapani, Caltagirone, Sciacca and Palermo. In 1926, the museum director Antonio Sorrentino proposed this acquisition to the Ministry, considering the collection mentioned as further evidence of the evolution of the ceramic produced in Trapani. However, the dates and places of production have been changed in light of new knowledge.
