Gambling disorder is a phenomenon whose risk factors are numerous; among them, we remember genetic, family, psychological, motivational and environmen-tal factors. The province of Frosinone turns out to be a territory very affected by the phenomenon of gambling because of its socio-economic characteristics and the crisis of the productive fabric with a consequent increase in poverty and social fragility in view of a considerable increase in the availability and accessibility of gambling places. The Asl of Frosinone, taking into account the stresses of the La-zio region, has defined a Local Plan to contrast gambling that provides three areas of intervention: a constant information and awareness- raising aimed at the wide-spread population of the province with the involvement of local stakeholders; a reorganization of addiction Services with the establishment of multidisciplinary teams and the definition of specialized diagnostic evaluation tools for an overall care of the patient with Gambling Disorder; specialized training of Dependency Service operators.

Keywords: gambling disorder; awareness and information; multidisciplinary teams; diagnostic evaluation.
