The welfare space is a new concept strictly connected to the political agenda and currently considered in the National Recovery and Resilience Plan. Accordingly, the welfare space can be considered as a tool able to improve the quality of life and develop a widespread generative well-being concerning all territories as well as people, regardless whether they are native or not. Specifically, this paper focuses on the regeneration of Borgo Mezzanone through the construction of houses for the immigrants habitually camped in a peripheral area of Manfredonia (a medium town in the province of Foggia, Italy).
Keywords: welfare space; caporalato; migrants; urban regeneration; Borgo Mezzanone.
