The essay aims to verify, through a Systematic Literature Review (SLR), how the contribution of digital technology has changed the scheme of occupational welfare in Italian SMEs (Small and Medium Enterprises). The paper takes into consideration three key factors: In-formation Technology, diffusion of occupational welfare throughout the country and the Covid-19. The authors have emphasized a frame-work of occupational welfare and, in particular, of SMEs with regard to the provision of welfare services such as integrative pension and healthcare systems, fringe benefits and work-life balance measures. From the analysis conducted on the 35 papers covered by the SLR, it is possible to affirm, through the three factors studied, that there is an im-portant contribution of digital technology with respect to the offer of welfare services. Digitalization has contributed, even if internal points of fragility remain, to the diffusion and strengthening of occupational welfare in Italian SMEs.
