The ongoing conflict between Russia and Ukraine has precipitated a notable influx of Ukrainian female and minor refugees into Italy (UNHCR, 2023). Previ-ous studies (Federici, 2019; Conti, Guercio 2022) have examined the transfor-mation of the migratory phenomenon due to war. In this perspective, Alexander’s (2018) concept of trauma appears relevant. To understand the experiences of fe-male migrants from Ukraine after the conflict and to explore the Italian social im-plications of the conflict in Ukraine, an exploratory study on the experience of Ukrainian refugees in Italy is proposed. The research is based on semi-structured interviews and visual sociology and allows us to explore the thematization that women migrants in Italy have about the war.
