The article deals with the history, tradition, and worship of the relics of St. Agatha, according to the latest findings of Agatina’s historiography. The topic of conversation is the relic that is preserved in Galatina, Lecce province, and the historical analysis of the Body that is housed in the Cathedral of Catania. Unpublished are the news of the attempts (1915-1922) of Card. G. Francica Nava to bring the relic from Puglia to the city of Etna and the controversy that in 1917 developed between him and the archpriest S. De Maria on the veracity of the relics kept in Catania.
