The main objective of "Storia Urbana" is to regain the historic dimension of issues faced by urban centres and non-urban territory. "Storia Urbana" draws together essays on urban and land transformation in the modern era, paying particular attention to the consequences of industrial activity. Attention is focused not only on Italian experiences, but also on cases in foreign countries, especially where they can help Italian research and provide a general overview of studies being undertaken elsewhere. The specific nature of these studies is of interest to researchers from different disciplines (from history to economics, from geography to business administration, from medicine to urban planning and restoration).
