The aim of the paper is to describe the results of an exploratory survey in which 448 respondents out of a total of 463 participants of the 6th cycle of the Specialization Course for educational support activities for students with disabilities carried out at the University of Molise. The goal was to define a general profile of the participants to investigate some of their professional beliefs, as well as understand their training needs. The results of the survey provide, on the one hand, useful information for the management of the course and coordination activities between teaching, laboratories and internships; on the other hand, indications regarding the thematic areas of competence to be developed.
