Research about the predictors of resilience in the inmate population needs further explorations. This study examines the predictors of resilience in male inmates from Padua prison, before and after a 9-session neuropsychopedagogical intervention, entitled Envisioning the Future (EF), which took part in remote during Covid-19 pandemic. Using two linear regression models, a change in the factors determining inmates' resilience was found from before to after the intervention. In the pre-course group (n = 24), only low avoidance emerged as a statistically significant predictor of the level of resilience. In the post-course group (n = 24) low avoidance, flexibility, high levels of social support, and self-efficacy in managing positive emotions emerged as significant predictors of inmates’ resilience. The results show that the constellation of factors predicting resilience in prisoners can be enriched by participating to neuropsychopedagogical interventions like EF, that increases individuals’ resources in a challenging context such as prison.

I sostenitori dell’agricoltura industriale su larga scala, la Banca Mondiale in modo particolare, ritengono che essa ridurrà la povertà e fornirà occupazione. Sostengono anche che una efficienza più intensa è una componente necessaria della "transizione agraria", che si segnala atraverso il movimento dei lavoratori dall’azienda agricola all’impresa e dalla campagna alla città. Questo articolo sfida tali argomentazioni, basandosi sulla esperienza coloniale e contemporanea dell’Indonesia e pone in evidenza la condizione precaria di quelle persone il cui lavoro non è richiesto dal sistema capitalistico, sia all’interno che all’esterno dell’azienda agricola.

Il fenomeno dell’empatia implica la possibilità di condividere le esperienze affettive altrui. Negli ultimi anni, le neuroscienze sociali hanno fatto notevoli progressi nel rivelare i meccanismi che permettono ad una persona di sentire ciò che un altra sta provando. La presente recensione fornisce una discussione approfondita e critica di questi reperti. Prove costanti dimostrano che la condivisione delle emozioni degli altri è associata con l’attivazione di strutture neurali che sono attive anche durante l’esperienza in prima persona di quell’emozione. Parte dell’attivazione neuralecondivisa tra sé e altre esperienze relative sembra essere attivata automaticamente. Tuttavia, recenti studi dimostrano anche che l’empatiaè un fenomeno molto flessibile, e che le risposte ausiliari sono malleabili rispetto aduna serie di fattori, quali la valutazione contestuale, la relazione interpersonale tra empatizzante e altro, o la prospettiva adottata durantel’osservazionedell’altro. Successivi studi sono necessari per poter fornire maggiori dettagli su questi fattori e le loro basi neurali. Ad esempio, domande come, se le differenze individuali in empatia si possono spiegare con tratti di personalità stabili, se possiamo allenarci ad essere più empatici e, come l’empatia si relazioni al comportamento prosociale sono di fondamentale importanza sia per la scienza che per la società.

In their statement paper, Salvatore and colleagues observe dynamics of expansion and specialization in the field of psychological theory and clinical practice, and especially the compartmentalization of professional psychology. The authors, joining a long strand of diagnostics about the fragmentation of the field, argue in favor of an effort toward a reunification of the field. They propose three "overarching strategies: I) the identification of the ultimate causal explanation, from which phenomena could originate; II) the progressive extension of the explicative capacity of specific theories to phenomena other than those for which the theory was originally elaborated; III) the building of a metatheoretical framework providing the language to map the conceptual linkages among short theories". The authors present these strategies as alternatives that would exclude each other and indicate that they themselves do not agree on the best way to fight against fragmentation. As readers with experience in developmental psychology and with the development of theory, we believe that this separation is based on a static flaw: understood dynamically, these three strategies may well be part of a general movement of theoretical development. We illustrate our point with a series of theoretical moves in our fields.

La Terapia Psicoanalitica infantile breve (PaCT) prevede 20-25 sedute psicoterapeutiche condotte in diversi setting (genitori e bambino insieme; bambino e genitori separatamente). Nel corso di tali sedute, terapeuta, genitori e bambino cercano di individuare e modificare il tema conflittuale centrale, mettendo in evidenza la relazione che definiamo "Triangolo di costellazioni Psicodinamiche" (ToP, Triangle of Psychodynamic constellations). Conformemente alle nozioni di terapia psicoanalitica, proponiamo due fattori di cambiamento. Innanzitutto, il trattamento intende modificare le rappresentazioni mentali ancora in essere nel bambino, come pure i conseguenti stili cognitivi-emotivi. In secondo luogo, si impegna a promuovere la mentalizzazione genitoriale (Fonagy et al., 2002) intorno al bambino tramite sedute con i genitori, con cadenza regolare (ogni 4 sedute). Nel gioco libero, intendiamo agire sul conflitto principale del bambino per integrarlo con tecniche basate sulla mentalizzazione, adattandole al livello di strutturalizzazione del bambino. Riteniamo che l’efficacia della PaCT dipenda in modo critico dal lavoro con i genitori, in particolare dal padre e dalla sua capacità di "triangolare", ovvero di accettare in modo attendibile e fedele il ruolo di "terzo oggetto" al fine di consentire il distacco del bambino dall’oggetto primario che è la madre (Mahler, Abelin). Nonostante le difficoltà riscontrabili nell’applicazione concreta dei trattamenti psicodinamici senza epurarli della loro complessità, abbiamo cercato di creare la PaCT in forma concreta. Auspichiamo pertanto di accrescere l’applicazione e l’accessibilità dei trattamenti psicoanalitici, per una più vasta gamma di setting (ad esempio, vantaggi per i tirocinanti), nonché per aiutare a valutare sistematicamente il risultato del trattamento attraverso sperimentazioni controllate, la prima delle quali è attualmente in corso presso la nostra clinica. Questo articolo illustrerà la PaCT attraverso del materiale clinico.

For several decades, European policymakers have been investing substantial efforts in boosting national and individual engagement for lifelong learning (LLL) to drive sustainable growth and to build a more inclusive society. The forecasted longevity of the European population and the potentially extended employment period warrant further research on adult education of the currently aging (migrant) labour population to draw conclusions on their potential for both, increased civic participation and social inclusion beyond their working life. Accordingly, this paper focused on competence building practices of female middle-aged migrant healthworkers, covering thus a range of categories that are highly vulnerable at the labour market and in society. Findings of this qualitative research with 23 Romanian domestic careworkers in Turin suggest that formal and informal adult training may have indeed a substantial impact on social inclusion in the host society.

The bombing of Guernica (April 26, 1937) has become one of the most powerful and persistent myths of the Civil War. It wasn’t certainly one of the most important massacres of the war, but the constant distortion of this fact, far exceeds the difficulty of setting some historical facts. Franco’s propaganda - against all evidence - attributed the bombing at the Republican troops. The ideological "reconstruction" of the facts, tried to exonerate Franco’s troops, leaving the responsibility of Guernica’s destruction to the German Condor Legion. The authentic historiography has now ascertained the facts, but revisionism still continues through books and media, that minimize the facts, exempting Franco and his generals from their responsibilities.

A dictionary born old. Legitimization and delegitimization of the Second Spanish Republic. The controversy following the recent publication of the Spanish Biographical Dictionary by the Real Academia de la Historia is here analysed. Many entries about the 20th century in Spain highlight the questionable aspects of a cultural project that derives from a public usage typical of the past concerning the legitimization and delegitimization of the Second Spanish Republic.

The relevance of the study is conditioned by the emergence of information risks and violations of information security, which relate, in particular, to the negative effects of certain information resources of a manipulative nature, intrusion into personal information space, cybercrime, and other violations of information hu-man rights. This state of affairs negatively affects the well-being of society. In this regard, it is advisable to develop criteria for the negative impact on information security and their legislative consolidation, which so far have not been defined not only in legislation, but also at the level of scientific discourse. This issue has be-come relevant primarily due to vulnerability of the current national security sys-tem. The paper is aimed at the formation and consideration of the axiological sys-tem of information security of Ukraine. The paper describes the main national goals in the information sphere; national values in the information sphere were identified considering the current condition of state formation in Ukraine. The practical significance of the study is determined by the fact that the developed system of interrelation of national values, interests, goals and achievements can be applied in combating the vulnerability of the existing system of national securi-ty.

Two intriguing circumstances have characterized the behavior of energy markets in the first years of 21st Century: a sharp increase in oil prices without a clear impact on real economic activity and a relative stagnation of energy productivity after 30 years of continuous improvement. This paper uses a standard macroeconomic production function to show that these two circumstances are consistent with sharp global increase in coal production and consumption. Our results suggest that the strong shift in coal production in the period 2000-2007 can explain why the sharp increase in oil prices did not impact negatively global activity and a relative stagnation in energy productivity. In addition, the paper also highlights the shift in the energy mix towards coal and natural gas and alerts that these fuels, and not only crude oil, can be sources of macroeconomic shocks in the future.
