The experience of the 2004 Athens Olympics - The city of Athens acquired many benefits from the 2004 Olympics, even if it was not possible to eliminate the enormous deficit in local urban planning policies that had accumulated over the decades in the short space of time in which the great event was organised. Some mistakes were also made with consequent negative repercussions in the current post event period.
