Theories are like games, and because of them it is possible to move in our own reality. Basing their work on this perspective, the authors outline convergent and divergent aspects of gestalt therapy theory and the intersubjective theory of Daniel Stern. The concept of contact- boundary is compared with that of "the present", the aim of psychotherapy is from one perspective, making the implicit explicit, and from the other re-owing the spontaneity in contact making. Further, the flow of experience is seen as a sequential process or as developing from chaos and complexity, through emergent properties. The connection between theory and experience, the unit of consciousness, and key moments in psychotherapy are the other topcs of this panel, which develop on the ground of the richness of contemporary studies in philosophy, neurosciences and infant research.

Keywords: key-moments, Husserl, Merleau-Ponty, Damasio, intention, neuroscience.
