The adults with whom children build meaningful interactions become vital points of reference. These adult figures must therefore be able to have a relationship with the child witnessing attention and love also through their way to communicate contents. The same goes even more so for handicapped children: commonly the adult getting in touch with them perceives embarrassment or meets some difficulties. However what matters is to react with open mind and willingness, by recognizing how unique each child is and therefore the relationship established with him. By doing this, contents, teaching and communication methodology have to go hand in hand. Furthermore, also the direct experience has always to go along with the relative thought, in order to drive it at the best. Finally a relationship with a child means inevitably to get in touch with its family context, therefore all the healthcare professionals - physicians, teachers etc. - should establish with the family a relationship always based on true trust and cooperation.
