The work take into consideration the subject developed by Primo Levi in his last book I sommersi e I salvati, he elaborates the memory of the experience of the nazist concentration camp, surveys the complexity of that event and, giving up any judgment of value, researches a method of relationship with the past which could act as a critical motor and guide a preventive historical memory. Through the exposure of clinical matters, represented by two dreams of patients, some analogies between Levi’s approach and a psychoanalytic view of the forces acting in the inner world of individual are identified, which show a parallel operation of the memoria identitaria in the story and in the subject.
