On the basis of Kant‘s Erste Einleitung to the Critique of Judgment, the Author maintains that three factors contribute to define the role of the sublime in this work: the comparison of reason and nature, the coexistence of the sensible and supersensible in man and nature, and the relation of sublime with moral sense.

Keywords: Critique of Pure Judgment, Moral sense, Nature, Sensible-supersensible, Sublime.
