This paper focuses on Alte Ceccato (Vicenza), describes its genesis, reconstructs the process of settlement of Bangladeshi immigrants, analyzes the dynamics that have transformed a "local" context in a crossroad of Bangladeshi diaspora. The author will explore the importance of Alte Ceccato for the Bangladeshi community in diaspora and the urban and social transformations within the hamlet as a result of this rootedness.
